A winter vacation in Englewood Florida sounds good to me!

The other day, while out for a walk I spied an ominous sight. The leaves were turning yellow and red. And, worse yet, some had fallen to the ground.

And we all know what is next. Yes, the snow shovel will start inching its way towards the door.

We have to put a stop to this nonsense! Right now!

Relax! There is an easy answer. Plan a winter get-away to Florida. Better yet, investigate a winter vacation on Florida’s Gulf Coast.

Do I have a special place in mind? You bet I do!

Our favorite place in the sun is Englewood Florida.

Just about an hour south of Tampa Florida on I-75 you will find an amazing place to spend the winter months. While the snow piles up and the winter winds howl in Michigan, New York, Ontario and elsewhere, you can be playing golf, fishing or just relaxing on a sandy beach in Englewood.

Instead of shoveling snow, Englewood offers four, yes count’em, four great beaches to shovel the warm sand between your toes. Just image sitting in a beach chair reading a book while a Gulf breeze cools you in the bright Florida sunshine.

You can read all day if you wish. But, if you are a golfer you can spend your morning on one of the many great Florida golf courses in the Englewood area. Then, after 18 holes you can head to the beach. After a refreshing dip in the warm waters of the Gulf, you can nestle into your chair and spend the afternoon reading, or snoozing, in the warm Florida sunshine.

But, that’s not all that there is to do in the Englewood area of Florida.

You can fish. Yes winter vacation fishing opportunities of all kinds are abundant in the area. You can fish from bridges, from the many islands and inland waterways, or you can charter a boat and go after the big ones.

Not far from Englewood is the beautiful resort community of Boca Grande. But to fishermen it is better known as the Tarpon capital of the world. Every fisherman should spend at least a day battling these challenging fighters of the deep.

If the person you are traveling with is not a fisherman or a golfer, never fear there is a wide variety of things for them to do in the Englewood Florida area.

There is an eclectic collection of shops and cafes that will entice and enchant both of you.

But, if someone is looking for something special to pamper themselves with, then they are in the right place. The Englewood area has many unique spas. There are day spas, spa resort hotels, health spa resorts and medical spa resorts offering an unlimited choice of relaxing and wellness treatments.
